27 The Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission is saddened to announce the death this past weekend of Samuel K. Rensin, Esquire, a long-time workers' compensation attorney. A private burial is being planned by Mr. Rensin's family.
21 REMINDER PRACTITIONERS ' FRIVOLOUS PROCEEDINGS:
If a party is alleging that a person brought a proceeding without reasonable grounds, and wants the Commission to impose a penalty for improperly terminating Temporary Total or medical benefits, the party must raise this issue with the Commission. See LE, 9-734, which states:

LE, 9-734. Frivolous proceedings.
If the Commission finds that a person has brought a proceeding under this title without any reasonable ground, the Commission shall assess against the person the whole cost of the proceeding, including reasonable attorney's fees.
