Insurer Contact Listing - Insurer Designees

To assist our customers and help them to efficiently contact the insurer providing their workers' compensation benefits, we provide a list of claim representatives for insurers and self-insurers in the State of Maryland.  These individuals are called "insurer designees."

  • ACCESS THE INSURER DESIGNEE LISTING HERE.
This downloads a searchable PDF document, use CTRL+F to search.

  • You can find out who is handling your claim by contacting the Insurer Designee registered with the Commission.  We have made this list of all registered Insurer Designees available here as a searchable PDF document.  This lists all insurers who have provided us with a designee listed alphabetically by the insurer's name. This includes their Maryland local or toll free telephone number and email address.

  • If you cannot contact the individual via the information provided (e.g. the telephone number is incorrect or the individual states they are not correctly assigned to the insurer providing your benefits), please contact the Commission via e-mail at insurer_des@wcc.state.md.us.

  • If you are an insurer or Insurer Designee and need information on how to register or update your Insurer Designee information, please click here.

* In accordance with regulations (COMAR 14.09.12.03), the Commission requires all insurers that provide workers' compensation insurance in Maryland to register an Insurer Designee with the Commission who can provide the name of the competent individual handling and adjusting each disputed claim. The Insurer Designee does not have knowledge of claim status but rather is required, upon inquiry, to provide the name, address, telephone number, and email address of the competent individual handling and adjusting the claim.  When requested, this information must be provided within two (2) business days.
