March 29The MD WCC web will experience intermittent outages beginning 11:00 am through 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 due to data network testing & upgrades.  Some or all components: WFMS, Informational web and email will be inaccessible.  We regret the inconvenience and urge all to plan accordingly to minimize business impact.

March 16All Commission web, inclusive this site and WFMS Online Services will be unavailable on Thursday, March 17, 2005 from approximately 11:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. for necessary data network testing and upgrades.  We apologize for the inconvenience and request all to plan accordingly to minimize business impact.

All Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission hearings are cancelled, Tuesday March 15, 2005 in respect for Commissioner Cynthia S. and Mark Miraglia's loss of their daughter, Nicole Anne. Commission offices will be staffed and open for other business, Regional Hearing Sites will be closed.

Hearings return to the WCC Beltsville Regional Hearing Site beginning Monday, March 14, 2005.   Construction equipment and activities may impact parking availability or other conveniences intermittently.  Please plan accordingly until the all complex construction is complete. 
All Beltsville hearings are relocated to the Lanham temporary site at 10003 Derekwood Lane, Lanham, MD 20706 through March 11, 2005.

Restoration at the Beltsville Regional Hearing site continues through Friday March 11, 2005.  All hearings scheduled for the Beltsville Site are relocated to the Lanham temporary site at 10003 Derekwood Lane, Lanham, MD 20706 through March 11, 2005.  Updated information will post to the WCC web as soon as available before close of business Friday, March 11, 2005.  Map links, directions, etc. are as the March 1 entry below .

On October 14, 2004, the Workers' Compensation Commission proposed Regulation .30 under COMAR 14.09.01 (Procedural Regulations).  This action was taken at a public meeting, notice which was given by publication, pursuant to State Government Article 10-506, Annotated Code of Maryland .  The proposed regulation was published in the  11/29/2004 issue of the Maryland Register. This Regulation is adopted as proposed at a public meeting on February 10, 2005 and is effective March 14, 2005.  See Regulatory Changes in the Adjudication/Claims menu for more information and regulation text as Adobe(c) PDF.

March 1The Beltsville Regional Hearing site remains closed.  All hearings scheduled for the Beltsville Site are relocated to the Lanham temporary site: 10003 Derekwood Lane, Lanham, MD 20706.    The site is located just off Forbes Boulevard between US 50 (John Hanson Hwy) and MD 704 (Martin Luther King Hwy.). Updated information regarding the Beltsville Regional Site will post here or can be accessed via the WCC IVR by selecting menu option 2 at (410) 864-5100 or (800) 492-0479.  Please note that WCC Regional Sites do not open until 9 a.m.
