The Workers' Compensation Commission and State offices are closed Monday, January 16, 2006 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  No telephone or email/websupport is available. We will open for business Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at 8 a.m.

January 13The WCC SETTLEMENT WORKSHEET (WCC Form H-07) has been revised. We have also posted an AGREEMENT OF FINAL COMPROMISE AND SETTLEMENT in Rich Text Format (RTF) which can be modified as necessary in most word processing applications (e.g. MS Word or WordPerfect). Both forms are posted to our Forms & Instructions webpage (link) and are effective immediately.

Note that when an objection to a subpoena for the release of medical records is filed by a claimant, the Duty Commissioner will issue an order requiring the production of the medical records, within a certain number of days, to said Duty Commissioner for an in-camera inspection and decision. After reviewing the produced records, the Commissioner will issue an Order as to whether or not the medicals are relevant and discoverable.  This information has been added to the MD WCC Subpoena Instructions, Policies/Procedures  posted to our Forms & Instructions page (link).

January 1The WCC has updated the Medical Fee Guide: Regulations & Information web page, which provides the instructions for calculating the reimbursement amount/value for services provided to injured workers after 9/1/04 . This change has been made in order to conform with current regulations governing medical (fee guide) reimbursements.
